Kolt Kyler, a 9-year-old Cubs fan from Pierceton, Ind., had never been to Wrigley Field, but after a tremendous surprise from his parents, that’s about to change.
Kyler’s sister, Hannah Himes, tweeted a video this weekend of Kyler working on his family farm. About 30 seconds into the video, Kyler’s dad brings up a daylong chore that he has for his son. Without even knowing what it is, Kyler already agreed to it. Then, his dad handed him an envelope.
Kyler opened the envelope to discover Cubs tickets, and he immediately broke down in tears and hugged his dad. He’s going to Wrigley Field.
Himes told Yahoo! Sports:
“His work ethic is amazing,” Hannah says of her little brother. “He’s been carrying around a bat, ball, and glove since he could walk.”
Let’s hope he enjoys his first Wrigley Field experience!
