35th Annual Toy Run

Folks from all across the QCA are working to make sure EVERY child has a present this Christmas. ABATE of Iowa - District 15 and the USMC Reserves will have their 35th Annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run on Sunday, October 6th.  RAIN OR SHINE! We will be there! The event will kick off at 11 am at the Wal-Mart on West Kimberly in Davenport, Iowa. The ride will leave at 1 pm and will end at the old Hobby Lobby parking lot in Bettendorf. The admission is one new toy per person. The toys must be visible on the bike. No stuffed animals due to health issues. We are asking everyone to NOT throw candy because this is a safety issue.

This year we will have Curly Sheldon as the Grand Marshall for the 35th Annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Run.  Curly is a 34 year member of ABATE of Iowa, served as a Trustee for D15 and a long time resident of Davenport. He owned a motorcycle pulling sled which he took to many events in Iowa. He has dedicated his life to ABATE and has worked hard to get this event started in this area. No child should wake up on Christmas without a toy!Come on out on Sunday, October 6th and support the ride! You don't have to have a bike, we will be collecting toys at the start and end of the ride.
