World Series Championship Ring Finally Revealed by Cubs

posted by Debbie McFadden -

In case you missed the ceremony or haven't seen the pics, here ya go.  Wednesday night was very special for the team, the staff, and all Cubs' fans.

The 108 diamonds surrounding the logo (because there is a total of 214 white diamonds) represent every single year diehard fans had to wait for the championship! Plus...33 red rubies and 46 blue sapphires to make up that beautiful logo!

What is the ring's estimated value? Probably more than your car.  $70,000 each!

In case you missed it or want to watch it again...here are the players and coaches receive their bling during the ceremony at Wrigley tonight.

Also notable...

  • the fact that FORMER Cubs legends like Ryne Sandberg, Fergie Jenkins, and Billy Williams were included in getting rings is TOTAL CLASS.
  • Making rings for the late Ernie Banks and Ron Santo to be displayed at Wrigley? BEYOND CLASSY!

Watch as #Cubs players and coaches receive their 2016 World Series Championship Rings!

This video is really cool.

You get a close up to see the intricate design choices. Even game score stats are engraved in the inside of the band! The team motto, "WE NEVER QUIT" is included. Oh...and yes, there is a BILLY GOAT.

In total, the Chicago Cubs are generously providing 1908 (recognize that number?) pieces of jewelry to every member of the organization---even groundskeepers and scoreboard staff!

This was yesterday's earlier TEASE.
