There was some serious drama going on in Fenway Park, and we're not talking about the Cubs-Red Sox matchup.
Fans in attendance at Sunday night's game were forced to witness the spectacle of what appeared to be a failed scoreboard proposal.
Video of the supposedly failed proposal hasn't yet surfaced, though there is video of the aftermath. It looks like the couple need to talk things out.
You have to feel for both parties: The guy looks like he was just rejected in front of thousands of fans, while the woman was put in a terribly awkward situation.
Let that be a lesson, gentlemen (and ladies): Don't pop the question unless you already know the answer. And, preferably, don't make it a public spectacle.
The couple was helped out of the stadium by a Fenway employee, a source familiar with events told the Globe.
At the Red Sox game and a marriage proposal came across the big screen and the girl said no. Feel so bad for the dude but still so funny— Mo Mills (@Mo_Monay7) May 1, 2017
