The Little League World Series brings young baseball players from all over the world to Williamsport, Pa., to compete for the Little League title. The experience isn’t all about competition, though.
During the teams’ down time, the players will all hang out in the athlete village, and they don’t let a language barrier get in the way of newfound friendships. We saw proof of that in one amazing photo from Williamsport.
On Sunday, Bob Holtzman, who works for the MLB Players Association, spotted a player from South Dakota having a conversation with a player from the Dominican Republic, but neither player spoke the same language. Instead, they used Google Translate on their phones to carry out their conversation from English to Spanish (and vice versa).
