WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM CST SATURDAY

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

...Periods of Accumulating Snow Tonight and Saturday...

.A storm system will move across the Midwest through Saturday evening. This storm system will bring snow across much of the area starting this evening and create some travel difficulties this weekend. 

Here is how it is tracking (based on latest weather models):

  • Snowfall totals will range from 2 to 4 inches from around highway 30 down to the Interstate 80 corridor 
  • 5 to 8 inches South of Interstate 80. 
  • The highest snowfall amounts look to be along and south of U.S. Highway 136 (6"+).

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Iowa and north central and northwest Illinois.
