Latest On QCA Winter Storm---Slight Upgrade In Snow Totals

Winter Storm Warning In Effect from 3 p.m. today through 9 p.m. Tuesday (tomorrow!)

For the QCA metro: Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulation 4 to 6 inches and a light ice accumulation creating a glaze expected. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph Tuesday night.

See map for sharp lines of divide for precipitation amounts.... much higher snow totals to the north!!!!!

  • Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could reduce visibilities considerably. The hazardous conditions could impact both afternoon and morning commutes.

A Winter Storm warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice will make travel hazardous or impossible.
