Led Zeppelin Song Generated By Artificial Intelligence Is A Hysterical Mess

It's hard to know if YouTube musician Funk Turkey is good at using technology or not, but the results are entertaining enough that we don't need to worry about it.

Funk Turkey had a big hit this past spring when he programmed an artificial intelligence bot to write AC/DC lyrics. The musician apparently dumped lyrics from every AC/DC song ever into a computer program and the result was a hilarious (and semi-convincing) song called "Great Balls" to which he then composed music.

Led Zeppelin presents a different challenge to such a random endeavor. If you think about it, the iconic British band has a much more sundry lyrical canon than its Aussie counterpart. As you might expect, the bot didn't turn out much that made sense.

One commenter wondered if the Zepbot would create "a dirty blues b---r song or a 10-minute mystical epic."

The resulting song, "Mountain Man," is somehow neither, and all the more hilarious for it.

Some of the inadvertent lyrical gems from this one include the lines: "Dwarves and me take you and cries / and your characters to the gods" and then "Babe, babe, baby, baby, baby / goin' down on the levee."
