ABOUT THE BACON AND BEER FESTIVAL The Bacon and Beer Festival is Davenport’s annual event and celebration of all things brews and bacon. New this year, the festival is teaming up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mississippi Valley. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the local chapter; for more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life.
Falling on the same weekend as Super Bowl 51, the 2017 Davenport Bacon and Beer Festival “Pigskin Classic” will again bring the region’s top eateries, pork purveyors and specialty craft brewers together for a one-day salute to the ultimate culinary match made in hog heaven. In honor of the big game on Sunday, patrons will also be able to compete in football-themed games for a variety of porky “Pigskin Classic” prizes.
The festival’s mission is to educate, recognize and provide downright gluttony of America’s other past time while showcasing Davenport’s shining stars of swine. Patrons are invited to sample over 100+ craft beers and watch the area’s top restaurants compete to take home the crowd favorite Squealer Award.
