Pretty interesting night at the Starlight Ballroom tonight. I was invited to the Cattlemen's Annual Banquet. First off, the prime rib from Jeff's Market in Durant was amazing. When you can cut prime rib with plastic knives, you know it's good! Learned some stuff about the beef industry (I already knew I love beef...steak, roast, I'm not picky)...learned about the Beef Check Off dollars (I hear it on the Iowa Beef commercials all the time, but never knew what they were for)...
Then...it was Heywood Banks! Somehow, they got Heywood to be their entertainment for the night. GREAT GUY! I've had him on my show several times through the years, but never saw his actual show. He even remembered the one time he was on with me and we happened to have the Davenport North High School drum line in...and they performed "Toast" with Heywood!
Needless to say, we had a really good time tonight! What did YOU do this weekend?
