How 'Bout A Cerveza With That Taco

It’s official: the Gods of Junk Food have heard our cries…and Taco Bell is branching out into the booze business. Today’s the day that the very first Taco Bell Cantina will be opening on the Newport Beach Peninsula in California…and with those chalupas they’ll be serving up Beach Bell. What’s that? BEER.

Beach Bell’s the signature brew from Taco Bell in collaboration with Four Sons Brewing in Huntington Beach. The beer is described as a “Mexican-style lager” with a “unique flavor profile to enhance and compliment Taco Bell’s food and flavors.” The beer itself is light red in color, and will be available while it lasts.

The Taco Bell Cantina will also serve-up a couple other beers, as well. This is part of a strategy by YUM! Foods to freshen-up the brand by making the restaurants look less like cookie-cutter stores. In fact, Taco Bell says that their plan’s to open 300 “drive thru-free” locations across the country over the next five years. Not all of them will have alcohol, though. Yo quiero cerveza! See...I paid a LITTLE attention in Spanish class at Davenport Central...
