Stupid Criminals File: 1/3/18

  • Couple gets down in dirty in restaurant booth: Romance was in the air at the Baby Acapulco restaurant in Austin. Well, at least for Jonathan Hightower and Lashanda Fisher. The couple were arrested for having sex while seated in their booth. It seems plenty of customers told cops they were offended by what they saw. On the flip side, while Hightower and Fisher admitted to being in the restaurant together, it's unclear if they copped to the copulation. Source: The Smoking Gun
  • Man caught on camera lighting a car on fire: Police in Toronto, Canada are looking for the man who lit a Porsche SUV on fire while it was sitting in a residential driveway. Unfortunately for him, he was in full view of a security camera. Authorities are asking for the public's help inidentifying the man. Source: Canadify
  • Inmate tries to convince judge the drugs found inside his back door weren't his: Edwin Wylie-Biggs is currently serving time in a Pennsylvania prison. A corrections officer saw an inmate pass Wylie-Biggs something so he performed a strip search. That's when the officer spotted the tail end of a balloon sticking out of the inmate's tail end. The substance inside the balloon tested positive for K2, a synthetic form of marijuana. Wylie-Biggs appealed his possession of contraband by an inmate charge on the grounds that Pennsylvania didn’t have an ironclad case. He also allegedly claimed the drugs weren't his. The judge didn't believe him and the charge is staying put. Source: New York Daily News
