Stupid Criminals File

Stolen fire truck ends up in police chase- Who steals a fire truck while firefighters are battling a brush fire in California? A 29-year-old named David Carcalete, that's who. Then he drove it over to pick up his girlfriend, 35-year-old Candice Scollard, about a mile away. And after that, they had a nice romantic two hour, 100-mile police chase.  The cops wound up putting down spike strips, which popped one of the tires but David and Candice kept going for another half hour until they finally crashed in a ditch. They're both facing several charges, including vehicle theft, evading, and possession of stolen property.

Homeowners watch as burglar tries to break into their home- Technology is an amazing thing. Especially when it allows you to watch on your cell phone as someone tries to break into your house.  That's what happened to Sara Egan of Kansas City. Sara had installed one of those doorbell cameras and it worked like a charm.  A would-be burglar attempted to open the front door of her home while they weren't home but because of that doorbell camera, she could see it all unfold.  Police were notified and the suspect was apprehended shortly afterward.

A man tells Police that a bear attacked his family- Camping is always a good time out in the woods unless of course, you're dealing with a naked man running around telling everyone a bear attacked his family. Jessie Robinson gave people at a Tennessee campground a scare when he was running through the area telling folks his family had been attacked and killed by bears. Robinson was taken to a hospital where he told staff that he "killed two bears with his sword." Turns out, he was just high on methamphetamines and made the whole thing up.
