ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons' New Album - Sneak Peek

ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons is releasing his second solo album, “The Big Bad Blues,” due on September 21st via Concord Records.

“We successfully made our way through those uncharted waters with the Cubano flavor of ‘Perfectamundo’ and completed the journey,” says Gibbons on the direction of the new album, “The shift back to the blues is a natural. It’s something which our followers can enjoy.” The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee says he’s proud of his blues roots, which have fueled his entire career, citing Jimmy Reed and Muddy Waters among others as early influencers of his.

The new album will feature 11 blues originals, as well as covers of “Rollin’ and Tumblin’” and “Standing Around Cryin’.”
