Some lucky car fanatic’s about to benefit from the passing of Burt Reynolds earlier this month. The Hollywood icon had set up an auction off three of his classic movie cars through Barrett-Jackson between September 27th and 29th prior to his death. Here are the cars that’ll be on the auction block:
- A recreation of the 1978 Pontiac Trans-Am from “Smokey And The Bandit.” The original cars were disassembled for legal reasons, this one’s as close as you can get down to the CB radio.
- The 1978 Pontiac Firebird from “Hooper.” Fire engine red that honors the stuntmen in the flick with a license plate that says “STUNT.”
- A 1987 Chevrolet R30 “Indy Hauler” Pickup Truck…yeah…the one the jumped the train in “Cannonball Run.”
