Van Halen I Recreated By Middle School Kids - They Rock It!

Sunset Sound is where a LOT of the classic rock you hear on Q106.5 was created...Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Van Halen...some of the best rock of all time was recorded there. This guy gives you a tour and shows you how things were set for the recording of Van Halen's debut album in 1977. He's setting it up so some students from Los Rios Rock School can re-create the album. The video concludes with them recording "Atomic Punk." It's hard to believe kids in their early teens can be THIS talented! Their performance is around :28 minutes in...but it's pretty interesting to hear how the studio was set up for the original Van Halen album, too. For instance, they used budget microphones...about the cheapest you can buy for a recording studio...
